The Final Total for Nick’s Local Eats – Drink For Charity & Nick’s Local Eats Sweets For Charity: $17,689 was donated to the Montgomery County Food Bank! The money that we collected together with some amazing restaurant owners, managers, chefs, bartenders, and waitstaff will be used to purchase 88,445 meals for families in need in our community. Thank you to everyone that was involved in making this such a huge success.
Based on the success of this first quarter, we are continuing the program from Oct. 1st – Dec 31st. 80% of the original restaurants will be continuing their participation with more being added. See participants’ announcements of our continuing and new members!

Once again thank you so much to all of our participating restaurants, eateries, food trucks, dessert spots, and ice cream shops. Thanks to everyone who has participated so far by partaking in drinks for charity and sweets for charity, we couldn’t have done this without you. We are so proud of the 32 Restaurants, 43 locations with 21 cocktails, 10 + beers, 1 cider , 9 wines, and 3 mpact beverages. We can’t forget the 14 participating businesses with 17 locations for Sweets For Charity with ice cream, cakes, pies, brownie bites, chimney cakes, snow cones, banana pudding waffle bowls!

Mission: The Montgomery County Food Bank’s mission is to collect and distribute food and resources to those in need in our Community. Through the support of our volunteers, donors, and 50 plus partner agencies we were able to provide 10 million nutritional meals in the last year. We cannot do this without your help.
Purpose: The Montgomery County Food Bank’s purpose is to act as a clearinghouse for food items donated and purchased for distribution to charities assisting the poor and victims in crisis. The Montgomery County Food Bank is a 501(c) (3) Non-Profit Organization, a partner with the Houston Food Bank and a member of the Texas Food Bank Network and a member of Feeding America.
