River Plantation Golf Club Welcomes West Fork Golf Club To Its Membership Family

Conroe, TX, January 13, 2020– River Plantation Golf Club is excited to announce a NEW addition to the membership family – West Fork Golf Club in Conroe! Located off Hwy 105 West at 1 Golf Ridge Drive, West Fork is an 18-hole championship golf course cut along the banks of the west fork of the San Jacinto River and includes rolling terrain, towering hardwoods, and beautiful natural wetlands. Club memberships for River Plantation and West Fork Golf Clubs will also include playing privileges at Oakhurst Golf Club in Kingwood.

The addition of West Fork to the golf membership family is just the latest in exciting news coming from River Plantation Golf Club. On October 25th, the River Plantation Golf Club welcomed celebrity guests, club members and friends to celebrate the new beginning of one of Montgomery County’s most treasured courses.
New owner and golf veteran, David Preisler, along with his amazing staff, opened the doors to the newly renovated clubhouse located at 550 Country Club Drive in Conroe, with an elaborate array of culinary samplings the club offers for special events, in addition to other event services. The event featured an appearance and engaging speech delivered by longtime friend, celebrity and newly named UT professor, Matthew McConaughey, who spoke about his Just Keep Livin’ Foundation that aims to empower high school students by providing them with the tools to lead active lives and make healthy choices for a better future. He also participated in a fun and personal interview with Click2Houston’s own Owen Conflenti, morning anchor of the NBC affiliate, that highlighted the work the JKL Foundation is doing along with stories about his personal relationship with Mr. Preisler.

Other notable celebrities in attendance included Dan Pastorini, former NFL quarterback for the Houston Oilers as well as an award-winning NHRA Top Fuel Dragster driver, and Calvin Murphy, retired Houston Rocket, NBA Hall of Fame icon and celebrated member of the team’s AT&T Sportsnet TV broadcast team, who both spoke about the exciting new renaissance of the full-service golf club and the commitment of Mr. Preisler and his staff to deliver an extraordinary experience on every visit. The illustrious celebrity panel also included Houston Astros Hall of Famer, Mr. Larry Dierker.
